Hoffman, 82, Southfield, Mich., formerly of Topeka, who died Sunday, Aug. 15, 1993 at his home. Mr. Hoffman was a billing analyst for Santa Fe Railway when he retired in 1975. He was born Feb. 27, 1911 in Topeka, the son of John P. and Catherine Rollheiser Hoffman. He was graduated in 1929 from Topeka Catholic High School. Mr. Hoffman was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council No. 534. He was married to Dorothy M. Shaughnessy Feb. 17, 1942 in Westphalia. She died Sept. 27, 1955. He was married to Adeline S. Stack April 23, 1962 in Jonesboro, Ark. She died Nov. 15, 1985. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Elaine Moix, Lathrup, Mich.; and a brother, Thomas J. Hoffman, Denver. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery at Topeka. Mr. Hoffman will lie in state from 3 until 8 p.m. today at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where a Knights of Columbus rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. and a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. today.
