The services were conducted by Rev. Wilfred Robinson, pastor of the Colesburg Methodist churches, and burial was in the Guttenberg City Cemetery. Organist was Miss Edith Merten. Mrs. Barhard was the former Viola Fowler, daughter of George and Mary Ann Kuntz Fowler. She was born in Galena, Illinois, on November 16, 1913, and most of her life as a young girl was spent in Dubuque, where she received her education. She lived in Colesburg for several years, and on September 16, 1934, she was married to Kenneth Barnhart at the Zion Methodist church near Colesburg. Much of her married life was spent in Louisiana and Oklahoma, having been in California just three years. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth, and one daughter, Darlene, both of Concord, California. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Lloyd.
