Kathryn Bates officiating. Mrs. Jones died Dec. 3 at Alegent Health Mercy Hospital. She was born Jan. 6, 1919, in Rock Port, Mo., to William and Rosetta (Godfrey) Brown. She lived most of her life in Council Bluffs. She was a homemaker and member of Bethany Presbyterian Church. She was a past president of Eagles Auxiliary and formerly performed at Chanticleer. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, Merle F. Jones, on Nov. 13, 2001. They were married July 4, 1936. She was also preceded in death by parents, four siblings and by son, Jim Jones, May 13, 2003. Survivors include daughter, Shirley N. Bradford, of Council Bluffs; son, Fred Jones, and wife, Cindy, of Omaha; daughter-in-law, Dorothy Jones, of Emma, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be tonight from 7 to 8 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Branson Cemetery in Loveland, followed by a luncheon at the Eagles Club, 1530 Ave. F.
