Description	:	Obituary: Walter Emil Hahn, son of Willie L. and Minnie Walkenhorst Hahn, was born in Johnson County Ju ne 14, 1911, one of seven children. He was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church Aug. 20, 1911 and was confirmed by Pastor Deubler May 9, 1926. He received his education in the Graf School. On jan. 14, 1937, Walter was united in marriage to Thelma Wagner at Auburn. To this union three children were born Walter farmed all of his life until retirement. He had been in and out of the hospital the past several years.... On jan. 14, 1937, Walter was united in marriage to Thelma Wagner at Auburn. To this union three children were born Walter farmed all of his life until retirement. He had been in and out of the hospital the past several years. He entered the Johnson County Hospital Feb. 23, where he passed away Feb. 24, 1981. He had reached the age of 69 years, eight months and ten days. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Fred, Ervin and Glen, and one sister, Frances, who died in infancy. Those left to mourn his passing are his wife, Thelma, of Johnson; three children, Mrs. Larry Colton of Lincoln, Mrs. Ronald Lenners of Filley and Dennis L. Hahn of Johnson; eight grandchildren two brothers, Elmer C. Hahn of Lincoln and Arnold hahn of Johnson; three sisters-in-law, Nora Hahn, of Auburn, Margaret Hahn of Dayton, Ohio and Viola Hahn of Johnson; other relatives, and many friends. Funeral services were held Feb. 27 at Casey-Witzenburg chapel in Auburn, conduceted by Rev. Ed and Betty Jackson. Gerald L. Hahn was soloist and Mrs. Dennis Hahn was organist. Pallbearers were Don Hahn, Gene Hahn, Larry Hahn, Greg Lenners, Mike Colton and Lorraine Hahn. Burial was in the Johnson, Ne. Cemetery.
