Deceased was taken sick last spring and although it was generally known that she was gradually failing it was not thought the end was so near. During her illness everything possible was done for her, but to no avail. She was of an affectionate disposition, bright and winning her ways, so that friendship's circle to her was a large one. Only a few years ago she was united in marriage to Lewis Adamson, of this place, who she leaves with a baby daughter, to mourn her loss. Here she played as a child, developed to girlhood; here she married and helped to establish a home of her own; here her busy life was spent and her faithful service rendered to the world. She was a devoted wife and mother and was always willing to administer to a friend in need. Much has been taken from this husband and little daughter, from the lone parents, brother and sisters and the large circle of relatives and friends; sweet ties have been severed but much is left. The Christian's hope and fadeless memories are still theirs. Mrs. Wilhelmena Adamson (born Samuelson) was born at Stratford, Iowa, October 22, 1889, and closed her eyes to the sleep of death on Saturday, September 4, 1909, at the age of 20 years, 11 months and 18 days. She was united in marriage to Lewis Adamson at Boone, Iowa, September 5, 1906, and to this union one daughter was born. She leaves to mourn her departure a loving husband and baby daughter, father and mother, two brothers, three sisters, relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the residence and at the Swedish Mission Church, conducted by Rev. C.G. Bengtson. The remains were laid to rest in the Swede Bend Cemetery.
