Mr. Zorn was born Sept. 10, 1924 in Geneva County, Ala. to the late Eula Mae Zorn. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict. Read More	Mr. William Ernest "Dick" Zorn of Westville, (Royals Crossroads) passed away Thursday, Sept. 23, 2010. He was 86. Mr. Zorn was born Sept. 10, 1924 in Geneva County, Ala. to the late Eula Mae Zorn. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a graduate of Troy State University. He received a Master's Degree from Arizona State University and a second Master's from the University of Southwestern Louisiana. After several years serving as a teacher, principal, and administrator, he retired from the Holmes County school system. Mr. Zorn was Southern Baptist by faith and was a member of Hurricane Creek Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School Director and teacher. Spending time with family and friends was very special to him. In addition to his mother, his father and mother-in-law, C.P. and Hettie Yarbrough, whom he loved as a father and mother, as well as a granddaughter, Crystal Zorn, preceded him in death. Survivors include his faithful and loving wife of 62 years, Ouida Yarbrough Zorn, Westville; three sons, Larry (Brenda) Zorn, Lamar Zorn, all of Westville, Ernie (Gwen) Zorn, Ponce de Leon; six grandchildren, Billy Zorn, Kevin Zorn, Tammy (Willie) Johnson, all of Westville, Summer (Brad) Alford, Breezy Zorn and Crete Zorn, all of Ponce de Leon; five great-grandchildren, Billy Zorn, Abby Evans, Dylan Zorn, Jace Zorn, Sterling Johnson, all of Westville, Cadence Alford, Wyatt Alford, both of Ponce de Leon; three step great-grandchildren; two step great-great grandchildren; two sisters: Omega Lewis, Montgomery, Ala., Lucille Jones, Elba, Ala.; two brothers, Kenneth Pippin, Charlotte, N.C., Walter Pippin, Gadsden, Ala.; other extended family and a host of friends. Funeral services were held, Sept. 26, 2010 in the Hurricane Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack Faircloth and the Rev. Billy Locke officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home Geneva directing. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Hurricane Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1163 Zorn Lane, Westville, FL 32464.
