| Description | : | Shortly after the erection of the first Presbyterian meetinghouse at the Forks of the Brandywine, a piece of land immediately to the east of that building was appropriated for a burial place. During the Old Side–New Side Controversy of the early-mid 18th century, this original meetinghouse and this burial ground were used by the Old Side Presbyterian congregation; those of the New Side congregation formed their own meeting and laid out their own burial ground eastward across the Horseshoe Pike.
