Description	:	Following a meeting on 24 June 1666, the village of Eyam was isolated and burials were forbidden in the parish churchyard of St Lawrence to prevent the spread of plague. As they succumbed to the disease during July 1666, the Talbot family were buried in a communal grave beside the Talbot house. The property was called 'The Riley' and Riley Farm was later built on the site. It stands about 250 yards north-west of the Hancock house whose family members are buried at Riley Graves.
