Read More	Ada Luella Glassburn, daughter of Charles and Emma (Kuhns) Glassburn, was born July 26, 1910 at Freeport, KS. She passed away on December 27, 2001, in the Newton Medical Center, Newton, KS. She was 91 years, 4 months and 1 day. She was a graduate of the Harper High School. She had made her home in Newton for several years. She worked in housekeeping for the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita for 25 years until retiring. At an early age, Ada accepted Christ as her Lord and Saviour and became a member of the Pleasant Valley Mennonite Church in Harper and attended regualarly as later her health permitted. Ada loved being with her family, especially during the holidays and she was close to her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed bird watching and belonged to a group that allowed her to travel and pursue her interests in birds. Ada liked to travel and had many interesting stories to tell of her journeys throughout the United States. Ada also painted and gave many of her pictures toher family to enjoy. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to someone in need. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Harold and Charles Glassburn; and three sisters: Lorene Wideman, Vena Webb and Estelle Glassburn. She is survived by one brother: Raymond; and two sisters: Catherine Bickel and Elsie Beyler; and other relatives and friends. Graveside services were held at Pleasant Valley Cemetery with Mr. J.V. Hovorka officiating.
