Ray, 84, of Minerva and a former resident of Mechanicstown, died unexpectedly Saturday, February 25, after she had been taken ill at the residence. Ray, 84, of Minerva and a former resident of Mechanicstown, died unexpectedly Saturday, February 25, after she had been taken ill at the residence. She was being taken to a hospital in Alliance when death took place. Mrs. Ray was the widow of the late Joshua M. Ray. She was a member of the Minerva Christian Church, the Berean Sunday School Class and the Berean Air Society. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Wilbur Barber of Alliance and Mrs. George Hull of Salineville; four sons, Orrville of RD 1, Waynesburg, Clarence of Minerva, Curtis of RD 1, Malvern and Donald of Minerva; 13 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Services were Tuesday in the Gotschall-Hutchison parlors in Minerva in charge of Rev. Arthur Poll. Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery near Carrollton.
