Ensz on April 25, 1954 in Glenn, CA where she lived the rest of her life. Annie and Walter had 2 sons and 2 daughters. Messenger Of Truth 3.0 1993 Issue 7 ANNIE ENSZ Annie Ensz was born to Cornelius G. and Annie Penner Loewen on March 21, 1924, near Winton, California. She left us unexpectedly on February 9, 1993, reaching the age of sixty-eight years. Her youthful years were spent in the Winton community. Realizing the need of her Savior, she gave her heart to the Lord and was baptized into the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, on April 27, 1938, by Min. Frank Haynes. The faith was very precious to her, and she endeavored to instill this faith into her children and grandchildren. In 1954, she, together with her parents, moved to Glenn, California. On April 25, 1954, she was joined in marriage to me, Walter Ensz. She was a loving, submissive, and supportive comapnion for almost thirty-nine years. Our marriage was blessed with two sons and two daughters. The first year of our marriage was spent in the completion of my 1-W service in Santa Monica, California, after which time we returned to Glenn, California. In March of 1969, the Lord and the Church called us to the office of the deaconry. She faithfully stood by my side, filling her place in the work. She was always ready to open our home and to give of herself and her time for the welfare of the kingdom. Our hearts ache when we think of the loss, but it only increases the desire in us to prepare to meet her by the river of life. We as a family, cherishing many happy memories, are: her beloved husband, Walt; two sons: Robert and wife Barbara, Bancroft, South Dakota; and Dalen and wife Teresa, Glenn, California; two daughters: Marjorie and husband Milton Koehn, Versailles, Missouri; and Mary Alice, Winton, California; nine grandchildren; two sisters: Catherine Loewen, Walnut Hill, Florida; and Mary Giesbrecht, Glenn, California; two brothers: Jake and Agnes Loewen, Sun City, Arizona; and Dick and Alice Loewen, Glenn, California; two sisters-in-law: Susie Spence and Leona Spence, Glenn, California; a nephew, David Spence, whom she loved as a son; and many other nephews and nieces. Those preceding her in death are her parents, Cornelius and Annie Loewen; two sisters: Frieda Loewen and Marie Loewen; two brothers: Jack Spence and Harry Spence; three brothers-in-law: Peter Loewen, David Giesbrecht, and David Loewen; and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held on February 13, 1993, in the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, Glenn, California. Ministers John Jantz and Robert Koehn officiated. Burial was in the Willows Cemetery, with Min. Curt Ensz in charge.
