He was a devoted member of Zion Lutheran Church in Ridgeville Corners, where he had held many positions. He was a former Ridgeville Township Trustee and a member of the Henry County Democratic Party. He is lovingly survived by his wife; Luciel of Ridgeville Corners and children; Larry (Jean) Ripke of Liberty Center, Ohio, Ted (Jackie) Ripke of Ridgeville Corners, Ohio, Anne (Glen) Thomas of St. Louis, Missouri, James (Pepin) Ripke of Gahanna, Ohio, 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson and sister, Olga (Reverend Arthur) Senn of Port Washington, Wisconsin He was preceded in death by brothers; Edwin Ripke, Ernest Ripke, Carl Ripke and a sister; Clara Werling. Funeral services will be held at 11a.m. on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Zion Lutheran Church in Ridgeville Corners, Ohio officiating Pastor Alva Martis and Reverend Glen Thomas. Interment will follow at Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 3-8 p.m. at Rodenberger Funeral Home in Napoleon and on Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church one hour prior to services. Suggested memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, Country View Haven or to the Ridgeville Fire Department.
