Description	:	Ceon Emery Larkins, son of Wm. and Margaret Larkins, was born April 3rd, 1868, in Henry County, Illinois, and passed away at his home in Liberty Township, March 12, 1957 at the age of 88 years, 11 months and 9 days. He was married to Alta May Randels February 27, 1890. To this union were born three children, Mrs. Mabel Whitman of Corona Del Mar, Calif., Frank of Chester, and Mrs. Ethel Pedersen of Fort Morgan, Colo. Read More	Ceon Emery Larkins, son of Wm. and Margaret Larkins, was born April 3rd, 1868, in Henry County, Illinois, and passed away at his home in Liberty Township, March 12, 1957 at the age of 88 years, 11 months and 9 days. He was married to Alta May Randels February 27, 1890. To this union were born three children, Mrs. Mabel Whitman of Corona Del Mar, Calif., Frank of Chester, and Mrs. Ethel Pedersen of Fort Morgan, Colo. In 1869 his parents moved to eastern Nebraska where they lived two years. In 1871 they moved to Kansas in a covered wagon drawn by two yoke of oxen. In Liberty Township of Republic County they bought the homestead rights to their farm. He attended Liberty Center School and lived in this school district until his death. In 1887 he joined the Baptist Church and later transferred to the Methodist church (sic). He was always active in church work and spent considerable time organizing rural Sunday Schools. He served as superintendent of the County Sunday School organization at one time. Preceding him in death were his parents, five sisters, and four brothers. Those who honor his memory are his wife, three children, eleven grandchildren, thirty greatgrandchildren (sic), one sister, Mrs. Winnie Davis of Alma, Nebr., and other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 15, 1957 at the Methodist Church in Chester with Rev. Amos Rundus and Rev. W.W. DeBolt officiating. Soloist, Carl Johnson sang, accompanied by Mrs. Robert Weary. Pallbearers were: Lee Larkins, Ralph Larkins, Fred Thompson, Lloyd Larkins, Delmer Larkins and Garland Thompson. Interment was made in the Chester cemetery (sic).
