Description	:	Although a few records are out there stating that Clyde (my grandfather) was born on June 24, 1900 - his obituary, for example - virtually every record with his birth that was generated by him states that he was born June 24, 1899. Therefore, I am going with the date more likely to be correct. My grandmother, Lillian Carolyn Shaw (later Adams), was his third wife. Therefore, I am going with the date more likely to be correct. My grandmother, Lillian Carolyn Shaw (later Adams), was his third wife. He was previously married to Ruth Okeley in 1919 and Helen Schneider in 1922, and had daughters by both of them (Frances Mae Baker by Ruth, Sarah Ann Baker by Helen). He was the youngest child of Prussia James Maize Baker and Sarah Frances Rook. His older siblings were: David Marion Baker, b. 1876, d. 1965; Evalena Baker (McCarrell/Clark), b. 1879, d. after 1938; Maude M. Baker, b. 1881, d. 1944; Orval Baker, b. 1885, d. 1886; Leroy Baker, b. 1888, d. 1889; unknown child Baker, b. 1890, d. before 1900; and Dora Muriel Baker (Kercher), b. 1891, d. 1981. He died on October 21, 1938 from the effects of endocarditis caused by a congenital heart valve defect. He had suffered for a couple of years prior to that after a dental procedure allowed bacteria into his bloodstream that went to his heart and rapidly weakened him. My dad and brother both inherited heart valve defects from him.
