Son of Henry Furgison and Perlina Condray OBITUARY THE CHARITON LEADER Chariton, Iowa Thursday, March 27, 1919 DENNIS FERGUSON Dennis Ferguson was born in Marion county, Iowa, July 28, 1856, and died in Chariton, March 20, 1919, at the age of 62 years, 7 months and 20 days. He was one of seventeen children. One brother at Lacona, is known to be living. On January 28, 1881, he was united in marriage to Emily Rebecca Vickroy. To them were born four children, Charles of Oskaloosa, Mrs. Flora Whitcomb of Moreland, Okla., Walter of Chariton, and Mrs. Cora Able, who passed away thirteen years ago. For several years Mr. Ferguson had suffered from Bright's disease, which, along with heart trouble, caused his death. He was well known in Chariton, having lived here for the past twenty years and in Marion and Lucas counties his entire life. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. E. W. Curtis and interment was in the Brownlee cemetery.
