Description	:	Donald A. Watts, the son of Charles and Grace (Horton) Watts was born May 2, 1918 on the family farm southwest of Edgar, Nebraska. He departed this life on Sunday, December 31, 2006, at Brodstone Memorial Hospital in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 88 years. Donald went to country school and graduated from Fairfield High School. He entered the U.S. Army during World War II and served his country from April 1942 to late October 1945. Watts, the son of Charles and Grace (Horton) Watts was born May 2, 1918 on the family farm southwest of Edgar, Nebraska. He departed this life on Sunday, December 31, 2006, at Brodstone Memorial Hospital in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 88 years. Donald went to country school and graduated from Fairfield High School. He entered the U.S. Army during World War II and served his country from April 1942 to late October 1945. Donald married Wilma Ferebee on May 11, 1943 in Hebron, NE. He farmed in the Fairfield area until his death. He was a lifetime member of Disabled American Veterans of Hastings and the Edgar American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Robert, James and Gordon. Survivors include his wife Wilma of Fairfield, NE; son Thomas and wife Ruth of Fairfield, NE; two daughters, Vanessa Walters of Red Cloud, NE and Dena Woodman and husband Scott of Shelton, NE; four grandsons, four granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; two sisters, Ruth Woodhead and Lydia Harnett of Edgar, NE; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Graveside services were held Thursday, January 4, 2007 at the Edgar Cemetery with the Rev. Lloyd Boyce officiating. Memorials in care of the family are requested in lieu of flowers.
