Description	:	Charles Edgar Watts was born December 1, 1867, at Providence, Saratoga County, New York, and passed away at the Mary Lanning Hospital in Hastings, Nebraska, December 18, 1939, at the age of 72 years and 17 days. His parents came to Nebraska when he was an infant of a few months amd settled a few miles west of Plattstmouth, living there until 1874, when they came to Nuckolls County settling nine miles north of Nelson on the Little Blue where he spent 65 years of his life. Read More	Charles Edgar Watts was born December 1, 1867, at Providence, Saratoga County, New York, and passed away at the Mary Lanning Hospital in Hastings, Nebraska, December 18, 1939, at the age of 72 years and 17 days. His parents came to Nebraska when he was an infant of a few months amd settled a few miles west of Plattstmouth, living there until 1874, when they came to Nuckolls County settling nine miles north of Nelson on the Little Blue where he spent 65 years of his life. At the age of twelve he had a sick spell and his doctor advised! him to go to the Pacific coast. He spent a part of a year in Washington, coming home with no improvement. He next went to Buffalo to Dr. Pierce's Institute where he spent nearly four years with but little help. He came home at the age of 18. He had but little privilege of school. He helped on the farm following close again with another prolonged, sick spell. In 1907 his father passed away and he and his mother continued farming. In 1910 his mother died and left him alone on the farm. On January 22, 1913, he was married to Miss Grace Horton of Oak, Nebraska. To this union six children were born, Robert, James, Donald, Gordon, Ruth and Lydia. The latter five are at home, Robert being married. He also leaves, besides his six children, two brothers, William of Edgar amd George of Parks, Nebraska, and many nephews and nieces and a host of friends anid neighbors. 0n August 20, 1936, has wife passed away at the Mary Lanning Hospital. Funeral services, were held from the home at 2:00 p. m. and from the Christian Church at Edgar at 2:30 p.m., December 21, 1939, conducted by Rev. Robert Hanson of Clay Center. Pallbearers were B. G. Rydholm, Ernest Nisely, Harry Nisely, Wm. Black, Cecil Strawser and Lloyd Hungerford. Interment was made in the family lot in the Edgar Cemetery.
