Mrs. Jones, formerly Miss Eliza Ann Perry, was born at Marietta, Ohio, on the 14th of November, 1835. At the age of eight years, she moved with her parents to Henry County, Illinois,. She was converted in her girlhood days and was faithful to her Savior until life's journey ended. She was married to John T Jones July 4, 1860, at Galva, Illinois. Five children were born to this union, two of whom died in infancy. The living children are Arthur W, in Canada; Harvey J in New Mexico; and Nathaniel M in Adrian, MO, at the home where she passed away.. In 1865, Mrs. Jones moved to Iowa where she resided until 1903, when, with her husband and son, Nathaniel, she moved to Bates County, Missouri, where she has since resided. She was at the time of her death aged 87 years, 8 months, and 6 days. Her husband preceded her in death four years ago last April. Hers was a life of usefulness. There remains to mourn her loss beside the three sons, ten grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Also her sisters, Mrs S McKelvy, of Corning; Mrs. LW Smith, Mrs Otis Bickford, and Mrs ME Abbey, all of Creston, and one brother, NM Perry, of De Nova, Colo, besides a large number of friends. Mrs Jones was the eldest of the sisters. She was a remarkably strong lady for one of her years, and when the passing time came, she just quietly went to sleep.
