Description	:	Elver Jesse McClelland, son of John McClelland, deceased, was born January 12, 1872 in Nodaway township, Adams County, Iowa and died at his home near Yuma, Colorado, February 14, 1937, aged 65 years, 1 month, and 2 days. At the request of the deceased, the body was brought back to Methodist Grove Cemetery for burial beside the grave of his eldest child Dowlin, who died in infancy. Rev. Cornwell, pastor of Mt. Read More	Elver Jesse McClelland, son of John McClelland, deceased, was born January 12, 1872 in Nodaway township, Adams County, Iowa and died at his home near Yuma, Colorado, February 14, 1937, aged 65 years, 1 month, and 2 days. Mr. McClelland grew to manhood in Adams County, where on February 12, 1896, he was married to Miss Sarah Maxwell, who lived in the vicinity of Guss in Taylor County. In 1909 he moved his family to near Yuma, Colorado, where he has since resided. He is survived by his widow, a son, Austin of Lincoln, Nebraska, and a daughter Beth, who with her husband resides at Arvada, a suburb of Denver, Colorado; two grandsons and one granddaughter. At the age of 19, the deceased united with the Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church of Methodist Grove. During the next 46 years of his live he was constantly identified with churches in the communities where he lived. At the time of his death he was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church at Yuma. The wife has lost a true and tried companion, the children a wise and sympathetic counselor, and his friends a quiet conscientious Christian neighbor in the passing of this good man.
