Description	:	Ernest “Ernie” Cramer, 83, of Topeka, died November 2, 2014 at the Colmery O’Neil VA Medical Center. He was born on December 15, 1930 the son of Ernest W. and Ruby M. (Epling) Cramer. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Ernie worked for the Topeka Police Department as a detective and in other capacities from 1957 to 1986, retiring as a Lieutenant. Read More	Ernest “Ernie” Cramer, 83, of Topeka, died November 2, 2014 at the Colmery O’Neil VA Medical Center. He was born on December 15, 1930 the son of Ernest W. and Ruby M. (Epling) Cramer. He is also survived by his children, Carol Cramer and Eric Cramer both of Topeka, step sons, Ron (Teresa) Creek of Topeka and Kenneth (Joyce) Creek of Rowlett, TX, five step grandchildren, and numerous step great and great-great grandchildren. Ernie will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Thursday after 2:00 p.m. where the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Prairie Home Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society or Alzheimer’s and Related Disorders, sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66603.
