Drake of Lee Township, died Tuesday, March 24, at 10 p.m. of puerperal fever, after an illness lasting only a couple of days. The infant that caused its mother's death is doing well. The remains were interred at Harlem yesterday at 1 o'clock from the M. E. Church, of which she had long been a member. She was born August 15, 1879, and after teaching school five or six years was married May 10, 1905. She leaves husband and infant child, one sister and five brothers who sincerely mourn the death of their loved one. Her obituary in the Free Press Standard, Carrollton, Ohio, Friday, March 27, 1908. Mrs. Eva Jane Drake died Tuesday night in her home, two miles northeast of Harlem Springs, and was buried yesterday afternoon. The services were conducted by Rev. Mr. Sullivan, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal Church at Harlem Springs. The deceased, who was a daughter of John and Hannah Magee, was born in Washington Township about 29 years ago. She was married May 10, 1905, to Howard R. Drake, who with a baby daughter, survive her. Her mother, a sister, Mrs. Mellie Marshall, of Washington Township, and five brothers, Elsworth, of near Amsterdam, Davis, of Evanston, Illinois, Will, George and James at home, survive.
