Description	:	Felix R Van Eaton was the son of Joshua & Rebecca Van Eaton. He enlisted in Co F 1st Nebraska Infantry (later Infantry became Cavalry) in June 1861 at age 27. Felix was a farmer at the time of enlistment, and he enlisted in Omaha, NE. He became ill at the end of 1861 and spent several months at the regiment hospital in Sedalia, MO.
