Edith is listed with 1 child born and 1 child living. _________________________________________________ OBITUARY Lancaster Eagle-Gazette, Lancaster, Ohio, Friday, 29 Jun 1917, Page 4 STRICKEN With Appendicitis, a Well Known Stoutsville Man Dies Wednesday Floyd Neff was operated on at his home in Stoutsville, Saturday night, for appendicitis. He had not been feeling well, but managed to open and sweep out the store of N. F. Stout, for whom he was working, Saturday morning. He then went home. He thought it was cramp, and got some medicine or Dr. Kefauver. The Doctor, somewhat suspicious, called at the home in the afternoon, made an examination, and found it a serious case, and one that must be operated on at once. Columbus surgeons were telephoned for, arrived and performed the operation Saturday night. They found the apendix in a bad state, also that perotonitis had developed. It so happened that there were three trained nurses in town. Mrs. Anna Crites, Miss Mable Stout and Miss Hazel Stout, who took turns. in caring for him. He suffered intense pain. He died Wednesday night at one o'clock-Stoutsville News.
