Buzick, instructor in the Lindsay high school for the past eight years passed away Wednesday evening. Mr. Buzick, though not feeling in the best of health, had been able to teach through the school-day Wednesday. That evening he felt worse and went to bed early. Two hours later he was dead, a heart attack being responsible. Funeral services will be held this afternoon, at the Christian church, with the Rev. Roy B. Shaw officiating. The remains will be shipped to Gilroy for interment beside a son, who passed away there several years ago. Mr. Buzick was born near Bloomington, Illinois, on April 25, 1869. After graduating from college and teaching for a few years, he came to California, taking a position in a school at Lompoe, Santa Barbara county. It was while teaching here that Mr. Buzick married. He taught in other schools, at Los Angeles, Santa Maria, San Francisco and Gilroy, and finally at Salinas, before coming to Lindsay. He has had charge of the commercial department of Lindsay high school for eight and a half years. He had during that time built a wild circle of friends in the community, and his untimely passing was a genuine shock to these and to the many pupils whose school careers he had aided. Besides his wife, Mr. Buzick is survived by three children: a son, Dwight Buzick, and two daughters; Mrs. Harriet Jackson and Miss Sibyl Buzick, all living in Lindsay. He also leaves a sister and three bothers: Mrs. Mary DeVore, of Lexington, Ill., Arthur and Harmon Buzick of Minnesota and Elzie Buzick, living in Iowa.
