Brown Boulware, well known former resident of Fredericksburg, died suddenly at the residence of his mother, Mrs. J. McCalla Boulware, in the Heflin Apartments shortly before 1 o'clock today. His death came as a great shock to his many friends and acquaintances here, most of whom did not know that he had been ill. A resident of Staunton for many years. Former Fredericksburger Was On Visit to His Mother. G. Brown Boulware, well known former resident of Fredericksburg, died suddenly at the residence of his mother, Mrs. J. McCalla Boulware, in the Heflin Apartments shortly before 1 o'clock today. His death came as a great shock to his many friends and acquaintances here, most of whom did not know that he had been ill. A resident of Staunton for many years. Mr. Boulware recently come to Fredericksburg to visit his mother. He had been here for about two weeks. He was affected with heart trouble some time ago and came here in order to be quiet and to rest. Today he experienced a sudden attack from which he died. The funeral will take place tomorrow at 3 o'clock in Mrs. Boulware's apartment in the Heflin Apartments and interment will be in the City Cemetery. Services will be conducted by the Rev. R. F. Caverlee. Mr. Boulware was born in Rappahannock County but moved to Spotsylvania, and a little later to Fredericksburg, when his parents came here when he was a young man. His father, the late J. McCalla Boulware, was for many years a prominent feed merchant in this City, a business which was carried on until his death by D. J. Boulware, a brother of Brown Boulware. The latter was one of Fredericksburg's pioneer automobile men. About sixteen years ago he moved to Washington and a little later to Staunton, where he had since lived.
