Description	:	This was in the Carroll Free Press, Carrollton, Ohio, Wednesday, March 26, 1884. Mr. I. W. Potts, a gentleman about 52 years old, brought in and showed us a small pair of shoes, that he wore in 1832, made by the hands of his dead mother. The material is heavy cloth, and they are about two and one half inches long. Mr. Potts prizes them highly as a souvenir of his departed parents. This was recorded in the Carroll Free Press, Carrollton, Ohio, Thursday, September 16, 1891. Isaac W. Potts, proprietor of the bakery and grocery on east Main Street, is dangerously ill from a stroke of paralysis. On last Sunday evening he retired in his usual health, but about 2 o'clock his wife awoke and found him reeling around the room, and before she could render him any assistance, he fell to the floor. He has no use of his right side or vocal organs. Isaac's obituary in the Free Press Standard, Carrollton, Ohio, Thursday, April 27, 1911. Isaac Potts, an inmate of the county home since May 15, 1898, died Sunday and was buried Tuesday at Harlem Springs. He was married three times. First to Miss Watson; second, to a Mrs. Vanhorn, mother of C. E. Vanhorn, of Canton, both of whom are dead. His third wife, who was Miss Ellen Walls, is a resident of Carrollton. He is survived by four daughters and two sons. One of the sons is a lieutenant on the Cleveland police force. Mr. Potts had been paralyzed 23 years. He conducted a bakery at Carrollton about 8 years. He was born in 1828 in Fox Township. He was a member of the F. & A.M., of Carrollton.
