Alvin D. Sigafus. Mr. Honeyman died Tuesday, December 20, on his birthday at Rosary Hospital in Corning. Interment was in the Villisca Cemetery, with the Sutphen Funeral Home in charge. James Shepherd Honeyman was born to John and Ella Honeyman December 20, 1884 on a farm west of Emerson, Iowa and departed this life at Rosary Hospital, Corning, Iowa on December 20, 1955. He was a graduate of Emerson High School and in 1910 was graduated from Northwestern University with a pharmacy degree. He started in business in Villisca in 1910 and remained here continuous 45 years and six months. He was married her in 1915 to Miss Emma Watson and three children were born to this marriage. A son died in infancy; two children survive, James S. Honeyman, Jr., of Villisca and William W. Honeyman of Las Vegas, Nevada. Mrs. Honeyman died in 1937 and Mr. Honeyman was united in marriage in 1947 to Vina Hausen who survives. One sister, Mrs. Ella Pease of Farragut, Iowa and two brothers, Warren and Robert Honeyman of Emerson, also survive. Four brothers preceded him in death.
