Description	:	FANSHER FAMILY 1870 John M. Fansher came to Colorado in 1870. He married Indiana Foster, whose parents were also pioneers of the area – Samuel and Sarah Foster) and they were ranchers in the Four Mile Area, had a home in Lincoln Park and Beaver Park area. John and Indiana had three children: William Purce, Ida and Bertha. Ida married a Hight, prominent pioneer family name. Bertha never married, and cared for her father in his later years. William married Dottie Andrews. William was electrocuted while hunting cattle with his uncle Leverett Perry in the Beaver Park area.... Read More	FANSHER FAMILY 1870 John M. John and Indiana had three children: William Purce, Ida and Bertha. Ida married a Hight, prominent pioneer family name. Bertha never married, and cared for her father in his later years. William married Dottie Andrews. William was electrocuted while hunting cattle with his uncle Leverett Perry in the Beaver Park area. He was 34 years old, in 1904 when he was thrown from his horse, or went after his wind blown hat, into the high voltage lines of the local electric company. The lines were low to the ground while crossing a hill, and were combined with the telephone lines, which were evidently also charged. His uncle found him and removed him from the fenced in area, dead. William was survived by his widow, Dottie (Andrews). They had five children, Hellen, Hazel, William Maurice, Ella Edna, and Wilma P. Hellen and Wilma were both deaf mute, and attended school at the School for the deaf and blind in Colorado Springs, and spent their summers on the ranch in Fremont County. Dottie applied for and received a settlement from the Pueblo Lighting and Traction Co. in 1906 for $1200. cash, and free use of a ranch, owned by the electric company, for 12 years without taxes or water rent. She also received Woodmen of the World Insurance payment for $3,000. Indiana Fansher died September 20, 1883 William P. Fansher died August 2, 1904, may be buried in Lakeside Cemetery John M. Fansher died 21 June 1917 Dottie A. Fansher died March 11, 1930 and was buried in Lakeside Cemetery
