He was born Aug. 22, 1919, in Council Bluffs to Nick and Janja (Potkonjak) O'Bradovich. He graduated in 1939 from Thomas Jefferson High School and attended VMI for one year. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in New Guinea. He was a machinist for 32 years at Union Pacific Railroad, retiring in 1972. He was a member of UP Oldtimers, life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 737; Iowa State Sheriff's and Deputy's Association and St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church of Omaha. Mr. O'Bradovich and his wife, Geraldine, were married 39 years. He was preceded in death by son, Milo; parents; brother, Sam; sisters, Mildred, Ruby and Helen O'Bradovich, Bessie Rogers, Anne Morsch; and foster sister, Millie Pospisal. Survivors in addition to his wife include son, Nick, and wife, Lauren, of Emerson; grandchildren, Jaime, Tara, Lisa and Jennifer O'Bradovich; great-grandchildren, Chasity, Ana, Molly, Jacob, and Abby O'Bradovich; sister, Mary O'Bradovich, of Council Bluffs; brothers, Steve and wife, Winona, and Robert and wife, Boots, all of Council Bluffs; foster relatives, Ted and Rita Argintean of Valley, Neb., and Silvera Evanoff of Omaha. Prayer service will be Thursday at 6 p.m. followed by visitation at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Father Vojislav Dosenovich officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be offered to St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church.
