Description	:	JULIA VAVROCH ARMSTRONG Julia Armstrong, daughter of James and Mary (Kolsky) Petracek, was born Aug. 15, 1897, at Jennings. She died Jan. 20, 1967, at the Sabetha Manor where she had been a resident since August 1985 following a stroke. She was married to Lewis G. Vavroch on June 6, 1916, at Oberlin and they made their home on a farm near Oberlin until September 1937, when they moved to Hiawatha. He preceded her in death on July 4, 1952. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Jack (Grace) Ferbrache, Hiawatha; two step-daughters, Mrs. Ellen Cameron, Alchison, and Mrs. Ruth Sparling, Temple City, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Lillian Van Zant, Wichita; a brother, William Petracek, Oberlin; two grandchildren, Bette Ferbrache, Topeka, and James Ferbache, Hiawatha; three step grandchildren and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, a sister, Barbara; two brothers, Jerry and Ernest. Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 22, 1987, at 2p.m. at Casselman-Meek Funeral Home in Hiawatha with Dr. David W. Seward officiating. Interment was in Mount Hope Cemetery, Hiawatha.
