Description	:	Larry Keith Douglas, 45, Topeka, died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 1999, at his home. Mr. Douglas was a traffic signal technician II for the City of Topeka Traffic Operations. He earlier had been an electronics technician for the City of Topeka Water Pollution Control, and a communications technician for the Atchison-Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Co. He had received licenses and certificates from International Municipal Signal Association, FCC Radiotelephone License, Fibre Optic Splicing and Foxboro Intelligent Automation Systems. He was born May 21, 1954, at Emporia, the son of Lloyd "Keith" and Doris Nadine Nielsen Douglas. He had attended Emporia State University and Flint Hills Avis, both of Emporia, and Washburn University and Topeka Technical College, both in Topeka. He moved to Topeka from Emporia. Mr. Douglas was a member of the First Christian Church in Emporia. He was married to Charlotte Grace Smith on Sept. 16, 1987, in Meriden. She survives. Other survivors include a stepdaughter, Shannon R. Friddell, Albuquerque, N.M.; his parents, Lloyd "Keith" and Doris N. Douglas, Emporia; and two brothers, Ronald L. Douglas and Dennis L. Douglas, both of Emporia. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Parker-Price Mortuary. Burial will be at Prairie Home Cemetery. Mr. Douglas will lie in state after 3 p.m. today at the mortuary where relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. Contributions may be made to the Larry K. Douglas Memorial Fund to be designated later and sent in care of the Bank of America, 4001 S.W. Huntoon, Topeka, 66604.
