Miss Leda Ellen Hollins and Harold Raymond Sears, both charter members of the eight- year-old church, were wed at 2 p. m. Sunday (Jan. 6, 1952) by the Rev. Loren Works, chaplain of Jennie Edmundson hospital. The bride is the daughter Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Hollins, Council Bluffs. Her husband is the son of Mr. Bruce Sears of Logan. A dressy brown suit trimmed with fur was the bride's choice for her wedding attire. With it she wore a gold brown accessories and a pink carnation corsage, Her tiny hat was trimmed with rhinestones. Mrs. Melvin Swanger served as her matron of honor dressed in a pink suit, white blouse, black accessories, and wearing a white carnation corsage. Robert Sears acted as best man for his brother. Immediately following the ceremonies, a reception was held at the church for about 100 persons. Pink and white colors were used in decorating the sanctuary for the occasion. The small South Side Christian church is a mission church in Council Bluffs. The Rev. Works baptized both the bride and groom. Mrs. Sears is a student laboratory technician at Jennie Edmundson hospital. Mr. Sears is an employee of Walnut company.
