Description	:	Lloyd was born on the family ranch on October 22, 1922 in Broadus, MT to James Robert and Lula (Thompson) Nalley. He lived on a ranch on Pilgrim Creek located in Powder River County until he started school. The family moved to Broadus where he attended grade school and graduated from Powder River County High School. Two summers during high school he worked at Yellowstone National Park. Read More	Lloyd was born on the family ranch on October 22, 1922 in Broadus, MT to James Robert and Lula (Thompson) Nalley. He lived on a ranch on Pilgrim Creek located in Powder River County until he started school. The family moved to Broadus where he attended grade school and graduated from Powder River County High School. Two summers during high school he worked at Yellowstone National Park. After graduating he went to Harding, SD to work on the ranch of his sister Louise and her husband Ren. In 1944, Lloyd entered the United States Army where he served in South East Asia until his honorable discharge in 1946. Upon his return, Lloyd worked as an auto mechanic for Bogner Brothers Chevy Garage, as a parts man at Midland Lumber Yard and at the Ford Garage. He and Dorothy "Dot" Mitchell were married on August 12, 1953 in Billings, MT and on March 24, 1954 they had their daughter Lenny in Miles City. Lloyd went to work for Cenex in 1969 until his retirement in 1984. Lloyd took a second career after retirement and worked for the Broadus Schools and also for the Broadus Golf Course. Lloyd always enjoyed music. He sang in the high school chorus, played in the school band and sang in the church choir. Although, he sang at both weddings and funerals, he never did feel comfortable doing either. Lloyd played the saxophone for a dance band for many years, playing at a lot of country dances. Many times the sun would be up before they would make it home. Since retiring, Lloyd enjoyed working in the yard, bowling, pool and golf. He was a member of the Commercial Club, Volunteer Fire Department, Selective Service, V.F.W., and Rolling Hills Golf Course. Lloyd is survived by his wife Dot of 52 years, his daughter Lenny Jones of Belgrade, grandson Cory Jones and his wife Sarah of Helena, MT, three great-grandchildren; Sami, Emmy and Shale, one sister Louise McDermott of Sturgis, SD and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister and two grandsons.
