She was born Dec. 1, 1885 in Wapello County, Iowa, the daughter of John L. and Christena Allman Kriese. When a young girl, her parents moved to Hedrick. She remained in the Hedrick community for several years, where early in life she united with the Christian Church. Surviving are two brothers, Philip Kriese of Sigourney, and Virdon Kriese of Delta; two sisters, Mrs. Marion Craft of Hedrick; Ethel Kriese of Hollywood, California, and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother, one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Jones of Sigourney; two half-brothers; George Kriese of St. Paul, Minn., and Ed Kriese of Lacomb, Alberta, Canada. Interment was made in the Abel Cemetery.
