They started married life on the Brookhuizen farm located two miles west of Highway 43 on the Gage County line road. They moved to his parents farm one mile west of the Pella Church when his parents retired and moved to Firth, Lancaster County, Nebraska. When Coe's brother Edward married they relocated to a Kroese farm near Cook, Johnson County, Nebraska. They purchased that farm from the Kroese estate after Coe's mother died and they lived there for the remainder of their lives. They were members of the Pella Reformed Church, Pella, rural Adams, Lancaster County, Nebraska while they lived in the Pella community.
