Frona Fischer and Arthur DeYong were married on February 11, 1924 at the home of her parents in Pella community. They were married in a double wedding with her sister Annie and Ted Kroese. They started married life on a rented farm located at 176th street and Princeton road, NE corner. Lyle was born while they lived there. They then moved to the DeYong home place when Arthur's parents retired and moved to Adams, Nebraska. Jane and Margie were born there. They lived there until 1955 when they retired and moved to Lincoln, Nebraska. They were members of the Pella Reformed Church until they moved to Lincoln and transferred their membership to the Hope Reformed Church in Lincoln. Arthur was active in the churches they attended and served as Deacon, Elder and Sunday School teacher for many years. He was an experienced carpenter and built farm buildings on many of the farms in the area. Between 1955 and 1970 Arthur was a Lincoln Public Schools maintenance technician, in Lincoln, Lancaster County, Nebraska.
