Description	:	Mabel Grove, 81, the 9th of 10 daughters born to B.Franklin and Ruth(Kingham) West was born March 31, 1920, at Norton, Kan. She died Tuesday at the Superior Good Samaritan Center. Raised in Norton, she attended school there. When she was still quite young, Mabel lost her parents and moved to live with an aunt in Minnesota. She later returned to Kansas and lived at Beloit. She had worked at the Brodstone Memorial Hospital for eight years as a nurse. She particularly enjoyed working in the nursery. She had many interests. She helped Eldon on the farm. She was active with St. James Lutheran Church, Edgar. She was preceded in death by her parents and eight sisters. Survivors include her husband, Eldon Grove, Edgar; a son, Dennis Way, Superior; a daughter, Mrs. Harold Brungardt (Darla), Byron; a sister, Frankie Gladow, Manhattan; a step-son, Lee Grove. Superior, stepdaughter, Mrs. Ed Schrock (Judy), Elm Creek; 12 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Williams Funeral Home Chapel, Edgar. Pastor Jon Albrecht will be officiating. Interment will be in the Edgar Cemetery. Superior Express June 7, 2001
