Description	:	Margaret Ann Gerken, 80, of Archbold, passed away Wednesday morning, July 15, 2015, at Evergreen Manor in Montpelier. Margaret was born in Napoleon on May 12, 1935, the daughter of Frederick and Dorothy (Saneholtz) Walters. In 1953, she married Lawrence Gerken, who preceded her in death in 1979. She was a former member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Ridgeville Corners. She had worked at Strydel in Stryker, and then for Sauder Woodworking in Archbold, where she retired after 20 years. Margaret was born in Napoleon on May 12, 1935, the daughter of Frederick and Dorothy (Saneholtz) Walters. In 1953, she married Lawrence Gerken, who preceded her in death in 1979. She was a former member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Ridgeville Corners. She had worked at Strydel in Stryker, and then for Sauder Woodworking in Archbold, where she retired after 20 years. Surviving are two sons, Roger Gerken of Archbold and Gary (Marie) Gerken of Archbold; daughter, Darlene Taylor of Lyndhurst, OH; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Robert Walters; half-brother, Art Walters; and daughter-in-law, Lucy Gerken. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 25, 2015, at the Grisier Funeral Home in Archbold, with Pastor Alva Martis officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Zion Cemetery in Ridgeville Corners, Ohio. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the American Heart Fund or the Alzheimer’s Association.
