(Howard) Warren, 93, Sabetha, formerly of Hiawatha, Kan., died Saturday, June 16, 2001. at a health-care center in Sabetha. Mrs. Warren worked at the Golden Rule Store in Hiawatha in the late 1920's and during the 1930's. Born on a farm north of Hiawatha on Dec. 21, 1907, she was a graduate of the Hiawatha High School. Mrs. Warren was a member of the First Baptist Church, Hiawatha, where she was active in the Altruist class; American Business Women's Association; KK Club and Order of the Eastern Star. In June of 1940, she married Ivan W. Warren in Kansas City. He is deceased. Mrs. Warren also was preceded in death my her parents, Roy and Bertha Howard; two sisters, Violet and Dorothy; and a brother, Robert Howard. Surviving: a son, Charles, Hiawatha; a daughter, Margery McIntosh, Oroville, Calif.; a brother, Keith Howard, Blackwell, Okla; a sister, Mabel Turnage, Colorado Springs, Colo.; and two grandchildren. Service: 10 a.m. Thursday, First Baptist Church, Hiawatha. Burial: Mount Hope Cemetery, Hiawatha Visitation: After 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Framke-Casselman-Meek Funeral Home, Hiawatha, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening. Memorials: May be made in her name in care of the funeral home FUNERAL NOTICE: (Newspaper name and date not specified) Funeral services for Margaret Howard Warren, who died Saturday, June 16, 2001, were held Thursday, June 21, at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Hiawatha with the Reverend Jerry Boaz officiating. The organist, Judi Bruning, accompanied the vocalist, John Howard, for the requested selections, "How Great Thou Art" and "Good Night and Good Morning". Serving as pallbearers were Don Howard, Bill Howard, Meryl Charles, Dean Hawks, Ernest Wolf and Ben Grove. Interment was in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Hiawatha, Kan. Following the services the family returned to the church for lunch served by the ladies of the church. Framke-Casselman-Meek Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
