Dingman in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. Margaret L. HARPER, 67, was born September 2, 1885, in Jefferson County, Ia.; the daughter of the late George and Valinda (sic. Philinda) REED. She was united in marriage on Feb. 20, 1900 to A. P. HARPER who survives. The wedding took place in Fairfield. A member of the Free Methodist church, Mrs. HARPER spent her entire life in the Fairfield community. The family home is now located one mile north of the city. Besides her husband, Mrs. HARPER is survived by the following children: Dave, Sterling, Illinois; Claud (sic. a/k/a Claude L. REED), Rock Falls, Illinois; Rex Roscoe, Illinois; Mrs. Bonnie SAMUELSON, Stockton, Iowa; Robert, Durant, Iowa; Mrs. Madge McINTIRE, Hugo, Eugene, Mrs. Tina HALSEY, and Mrs. Evelyn SHAFFER, all of Fairfield. She is also survived by 36 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two sisters: Mrs. Frank SIMMONS and Mrs. Will LEATHERS, both of Fairfield. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, one daughter, two sisters and a brother. --------- Special note: The names of certain children in the obituary for Alvin P Harper vary from other sources. As of December 23, 2011 all but four of 13 children of Alvin and Margaret Harper are accounted for and linked with relationship links. Four children have proven to be elusive, even using Ancestry.com for searches for their whereabouts: Davis R "Dave" Harper, Robert M. Harper, Rex W. Harper, and Evelyn Harper Shaffer. Any information on these four (missing DOB's, DOD's, and burial locations) would be greatly appreciated. Certain entries have been found on Ancestry that could be for some of them, but there isn't enough information to be conclusive, let alone telling where they are buried.
