Her last days were filled with great suffering. Nellie Nadine REED, daughter of George and Philinda REED was born in Perlee, April 2nd, 1870, being 43 years of age at the time of her death. When she was two years old the family moved to Fairfield. April 3, 1886 she was united in marriage to George SAMMONS in Fairfield. For twelve years they have made their home near Bernhart. Six children and the husband are left to mourn the loos of a kind and affectionate wife and mother. Five daughters, Malisse, Nellie, Georgia, Marie, and Francis, and one son, Noble. Another son, Arthur died in 1903. Four sisters and two brothers with the mother also survive, Mrs. Charles LEE, Mrs. Wm. LEATHERS, Mrs. Frank N. SIMMONS , Mrs. Al HARPER, Perrin and Wiliam REED and Mrs. M. PARSONS. All except William reside in or near this city and were at the bedside when death came. Her father died three years ago. Mrs. SAMMONS was a devoted mother and had many friends in the community who sincerely regret her death. The funeral services were held at Cross Lanes church this morning at twn o'clock and were attended by a large company of friends. Dr. J.F. Hinkhouse conducted the services and the remains were brought to this city and laid to rest beside her father and son in evergreen (sic. Evergreen) cemetery.
