Description	:	Mary Susannah Hiser, daughter of Joel and Louisa Hiser, was born at Cedar Falls, Iowa, October 16, 1856, and passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harold Grover of Edgar, Nebraska, Thursday, June 14, 1945, at the age of 88 years, 7 months and 28 days. Mrs. Watts came with her parents to Nuckolls County, Nebraska, in 1880 where they homesteaded. She was confirmed in the Reformed Church at Brandon, Iowa, in 1876, and transferred her membership to the First Presbyterian Church of Edgar in 1881, where she was a faithful member for over 64 years... Read More	Mary Susannah Hiser, daughter of Joel and Louisa Hiser, was born at Cedar Falls, Iowa, October 16, 1856, and passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harold Grover of Edgar, Nebraska, Thursday, June 14, 1945, at the age of 88 years, 7 months and 28 days. Mrs. Watts came with her parents to Nuckolls County, Nebraska, in 1880 where they homesteaded. She was confirmed in the Reformed Church at Brandon, Iowa, in 1876, and transferred her membership to the First Presbyterian Church of Edgar in 1881, where she was a faithful member for over 64 years and attended as long as her health permitted. She was a charter member of the church. On March 2, 1882, she was united in marriage to William Isaac Watts, and resided on what is known as the Louis Shaw farm southwest of Edgar. They moved to Deweese in 1886. She was recorder of the Royal Neighbors of America for a number of years. Mr. and Mrs. Watts adopted their daughter, Susan, in 1899. They moved to Edgar in the fall of 1913 and have lived here since. Mrs. Watts is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Harold B. Grover; three grandchildren, Edward Grover, of Glendale, California, Lillian and Dean Grover of Edgar, and one great-grandchild, Judith Gay Grover, of Glendale, California, other relatives and a host of friends. Her husband and two sisters preceded her in death. Funeral services were held at the First Presbyterian Church of Edgar, Nebraska, Sunday, June 17, 1945, at 2:30 p.m., with James C. Cayton in charge. Mrs. Cayton sang two songs with Mrs. Carrie Voorhees at the organ. Pallbearers were: E.L. Smock, F. A. Westering, Z. O. Elifritz. Wm. J. Goesch, W. R. Organ and C. G. Cottle.
