Description	:	MAXINE RAE CHRISTOPHER, 70, of Crisfield, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 11, 2006 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Born in Crisfield, she was a daughter of Rachel Riggin McCready of New Freedom, Pennsylvania and the late Carroll McCready. She was a clerk's assistant with the Crisfield Police Department and was a faithful member of the Eastern Shore Evangelistic Church in Marion Station. Born in Crisfield, she was a daughter of Rachel Riggin McCready of New Freedom, Pennsylvania and the late Carroll McCready. She was a clerk's assistant with the Crisfield Police Department and was a faithful member of the Eastern Shore Evangelistic Church in Marion Station. It was because of her extreme faith in the Lord that she had a strong commitment to her church and her church family. She is survived by her mother, Rachel Riggin McCready of New Freedom, Pennsylvania; six children, Robert James Elliott, III of Crisfield, Deborah Lynn Dwyer and her husband Joe of New Freedom, Pennsylvania, Anthony Ray Elliott of Crisfield, David Carroll Elliott and his wife Phyllis of Princess Anne, Joseph Reynold Elliott and his wife Martha of Crisfield, and Nicki Lynn Wilson and her husband Kevin of Crisfield; two brothers, Carroll McCready of New Freedom, Pennsylvania and Terry McCready of Baltimore; one sister, Carolee Freeze of Baltimore; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles "Mac" McCready and a sister, Irma Epps. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 14, 2006 at 11 AM at the Eastern Shore Evangelistic Church in Marion Station. The Rev. Jerry Hughes will officiate. Interment will follow in Sunnyridge Memorial Park in Crisfield. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home in Crisfield. Contributions in memory of Maxine may be made to Eastern Shore Evangelistic Church, P.O. Box 87, Crisfield, Maryland 21817. The family would like to thank the many friends and loved ones for all the thoughts, prayers, and support given throughout her illness. The family would also like to express sincere gratitude to the Crisfield Police Department and the former Chief Bell, and friends at Crisfield City Hall and the former Mayor Scott, for the special support shown as well.
