Memorial services are Monday, April 8, at 10:30 a.m., at the Pella Lutheran Church with the Reverend Mark Morgenstern officiating. Ushers are Ed Leppien and Kenneth Klasna. Internment of cremains will be at a later date at the Riverview Cemetery in Savage, under the direction of the Fulkerson Funeral Home of Sidney. She grew up and attended schools in Savage, graduating in 1928. After graduation Murlene worked at the Hotel Albert Cafe in Fairview. She married Clifford Bach on Sept 23, 1939 in Savage. They farmed in Savage, then later, farmed in Glendive. The couple returned to farm in Savage. They sold the farm and moved to Cascade, Mt., where they owned and operated the Cascade Motel and Trailer court. They returned to Sidney in 1971 after selling the motel and trailer court and have remained here, but spent 11 winters in Arizona. Murlene was a member of the Pella Lutheran Church and the Savage Senior Citizens. She enjoyed yard sales, where she picked up material for quilts being made at the church. She is preceded in death by her parents and a son, Roger. She is survived by her husband, Clifford Bach of Sidney; a son, Darrell Bach of Seattle, Wash.; a daughter, Joyce Kerner of Wichita, Kansas; two brothers, Warren and his wife, Elsie Miller, of Sidney and Daryl and his wife Jeanne Miller of Belgrade; a sister, Lois and her husband Dennis Barta, of Diamond Bar. Calif; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
