Farver, son of Lafe and Susan Farver, was born in Delaware county (sic), Ohio, August 28, 1873, and departed this life July 5, 1937, at his home two and a half miles northeast of Nelson, at the age of 63 years, 10 months and 7 days. He came with his parents to Nelson, Nebraska, when but a boy of nine years, and located on what is now the Barnes place, later moving to a farm 4 1/4 miles southwest of Nelson where he grew to manhood. Farver, son of Lafe and Susan Farver, was born in Delaware county (sic), Ohio, August 28, 1873, and departed this life July 5, 1937, at his home two and a half miles northeast of Nelson, at the age of 63 years, 10 months and 7 days. To this union were born seven children: Earl P. who passed away December 10, 1910; Ora A., Jesse O., Elbert R., Opal L., Margaret A., and Oliver L., all at home. He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife, six children, three brothers: John of Prairie City, Iowa, Allen of Nelson, Nebr., Elmer of Winterset, Iowa; and four sisters: Myrtle McMichael, Nelson, Nebr., Sadie Benjamin of Edison, Nebr., Irene Worden, and Izetta Adrain of Sheldon, Wisconsin; also a host of other relatives and friends. He was a kind and loving husband and father. His uppermost thought was for the welfare of his family. The funeral services were held at the Methodist church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. V.R. Daniels, at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Interment in Nelson cemetery. Farewell dear Father, sweet thy rest, Weary with years, and worn with pain, Farewell, till in some Happy Place, We shall behold thy face again. 'Tis ours to miss thee, all our years, And tender memories of thee keep; Thine in the Lord, to rest for so He giveth his beloved sleep.
