She is survived by four sons, Ora, Jess and Elbert of Nelson, and Oliver of Cozad; two daughters, Mrs. Orville Stahl, Nelson, and Mrs. Leslie Reede (sic), Ayr; and a sister, Miss Lucy Baker of Nelson. Mr. Farver died in 1938. Funeral services are to be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon in Klawitter Chapel at Nelson, with the Rev. Harold J. Coates officiating. Burial is to be made in the Nelson cemetery (sic). The Nelson Gazette, Thursday, March 17, 1955 ======================== Mary Baker Farver was born Jan. 5, 1878, at Bethany, Ill., and departed this life Mar. 16, 1955, at Brodstone Memorial Hospital in Superior, Nebr., at the age of 77 years, 2 months and 11 days. When still a baby she came with her parents to Clay County, Nebraska, and in a short time moved to Nuckolls County, where she has lived ever since. She was educated in the rural schools and Nelson high school, and later taught in the rural schools. In early life she united with the Methodist church (sic). She married Otto Farver on Dec. 24, 1908. To this union were born five sons and two daughters, Earl, Ora, Jesse, Elbert, Oliver, Opal and Margaret. Her husband and one son, Earl, preceeded her in death. She was a kind and devoted wife and mother. Her life was centered in her family and in teachings of the Bible. She leaves to mourn her departure her sons: Ora, Jesse and Elbert of Nelson, Oliver and wife of Cozad; daughters Opal Stahl and husband of Nelson and Margaret Reed and husband of Ayr; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Maude Baker of Plainville, Kans.; a sister, Lucy Baker of Nelson; four grandchildren and numerous nephews, nieces and friends. Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon in the Klawitter Chapel at Nelson with the Rev. Harold J. Coates officiating. Burial was made in the Nelson cemetery (sic).
