Description	:	Richard "Dick" Leon Buerer, the son of Keith and Leila Kinnison Buerer, was born July 26, 1949, at Fairfield. He departed this life on Friday, August 10, 1990, at the York General Hospital in York at the age of 41 years and 15 days. Dick attended one year of rural country school and continued his education at Clay Center, graduating with the class of 1967. He then attended Central Community Technical College. Read More	Richard "Dick" Leon Buerer, the son of Keith and Leila Kinnison Buerer, was born July 26, 1949, at Fairfield. He departed this life on Friday, August 10, 1990, at the York General Hospital in York at the age of 41 years and 15 days. Dick attended one year of rural country school and continued his education at Clay Center, graduating with the class of 1967. He then attended Central Community Technical College. In 1969 Dick enlisted in the United States Army, serving his country during the Vietnam War. After his discharge Dick returned to Edgar to begin farming. On May 21, 1976, Dick was united in marriage to Debra Rae Mohnike at Grand Island. The union was blessed with the birth of three daughters. Dick lived with his family on a farm near Edgar where he enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He was a member of the Church of the Plains in Edgar and American Legion Post #87 in Clay Center. Dick was preceded in death by his father, Keith, and brothers, James and Donald. Survivors include his wife, Debbie; daughters, Diana, Danielle, and Denise; mother, Leila Buerer; grandmother, Ethel Kinnison; sisters, Mrs. Lon (Deloris) Springer, Mrs. Ken (Nancy) Overturf, all of Edgar, and Mrs. John (Pat) Riggle of Columbus; brothers, Keith Jr. of Palmdale, California, Gean of Geneva, and Dennis of Clay Center; nieces, nephews, other relatives and his many friends. Funeral services were held Monday, August 13, 1990, at 2 p.m. at the Urbauer-Williams Funeral Home in Edgar. The Rev. Stuart Barnes Jameison officicated. Interment was in the Edgar Cemetery.
