The couple later moved to Clarinda, and Winona to Corning after John's passing. Winona loved flowers, gardening, and being with family and friends. Her life was enriched by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Winona was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John in 1972; son, John Dean in 1963; grandson, Perry Steeve in 2004; a sister, Leona Johnson, and brother-in-law Floyd Johnson. Winona leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Patsy Steeve and husband Lyle of Corning, Iowa and sister-in-law, Marie Curtis of Tucumcari, New Mexico.
