Description	:	In a newspaper clipping dated 9 July 1948, it shows a picture of Brock Davis of Drayton viewing the oldest monument. It marks the first burial in Bethel Ground and identifies it as being 103 years earlier, which would mean the first burial was in 1845. The people were: John McDermid, his wife Catherine and their son, Alexander, natives of Islay, Scotland. Many of the pioneers of Minto Township were buried here including Mr. and Mrs. Martin from the 2nd of Minto, and Mr. & Mrs. Alexander Ross who came from Scotland, Mr. Ross in 1863, Mrs. Ross in 1866....
