Description : Also known as Cheddar Road Cemetery. By 1930, the churchyard at St. Mary’s, Wedmore, was overcrowded, so it was proposed to obtain a piece of land on the Wedmore to Cheddar road for an extension [1]. Work started on the new cemetery extension in 1931, and was complete by early 1932 [2]. The work was carried out by Mr Ernest Wall and Mr W . R. Withers, after competitive tenders were obtained.
